Meet Olamide. He is 6 years old and can read very well. He is the 7th child of 8 that is mother has given birth too. All the children have several different fathers and Olamide's is unkown. His mother has already given 3 of her other children away becuase she cannot afford to keep them. She has learned seamstress work but was unable to finish to get her certificate. We anticipate that she will be able to join our seamstress program at C.A.R.E. and start to earn money to provide for her family. We also look forward to seeing if we can reunite the other children back with her. We look forward to descipling her too so she can learn that Christ loves her enough and she doesn't need to keep having children for men. Olamide and his mom live in Oke Ere which is a town about 30 minutes from Egbe. This town is much more rural with only 2 schools and 3 small churches. The education is very poor there and most of the children we meet cannot read or write well. We will be looking for two sponsors, one for Olamide and one for his mother so she can join our seamstress program. Please consider being one of the sponsors for this family at $49 a month or $588 a year.
